The One/Still Love
08:14
|
|||
The One
the one
the big bang
starting to get the hang of how we begun the one
the one
where it’s all coming from
where nothing becomes something
becomes everything
and it keeps on coming
and it keeps on coming
so hum
become
everything is one
the one
so hum
I am that
I am this this is it
the fire is lit
So hum
the one
put down that gun, son
have some fun, son
we’re on the run, son
from oblivion
the one
everything is one
the one
Still Love
god help the wounded healer with the broken heart
the inconsolable lover
who’s lost the knowledge of love
say a prayer for a saint
who may not need it
everyone deserves a little help
the power of words to cast light in the emptiness of light
is tangible, cold creation
my love, we are never alone
but even with death at our shoulder we fear nothing
having each other and trust
trust that the bad will pass and the good will remain
what will become of us cannot be known
but our love will last and last
and will not die
regardless of these frail skins
that can break and bleed
love is stronger than the hardest metal
and can break the hardest heart open
and reveal happiness, sadness
and a whole world
not of fear
but of wonder and awe
I have no mother any longer
nor father to protect me
but love will do
love will do for me what I can’t do for myself
love will do for me what I can’t do for myself
this pen-
so much mightier than any sword-
can only record these words
just a piece of it
an incomplete puzzle
but love sees it all
and still loves
and still loves
instill love

Cemetery Flowers
soldier
warrior
lay down your weapon
your blood has nourished enough rich men’s gardens
rich men who promised you
heaven
was their promise
heaven
your reward
but everybody gets to heaven
no matter what side they’re fighting for
here’s the man who killed you
here’s the men you killed
here’s the leaders and generals that took you to glory
glory and —
heaven
was the promise
heaven
your reward
but everybody gets to heaven
no matter what bribes they can afford
rich man
poor man beggerman
thief
all human beings find their relief find their piece of —
heaven
is the promise
heaven
is our reward
and everybody gets to heaven
no matter what side they’re fighting for

Reluctant Angel
you go on
I just want to see the story end
watch my little children grow
make amends
you go on
you go on
I just want to see the story end
celebrate my successes,
mourn my losses
say ‘goodbye’ to my friends
you go on
you go on
I can stay here alone
content with where I’ve gotten
no need to grow
no more energy to expend
you go on
I just want to see the story end

Space Time

Space Time
Time is a tool to measure
beginnings and ends
space is the place we gather
the grid where all of life extends
imagine no time and no space
habits so hard to break
we gotta break all our habits
we got to do it for heaven’s sake
space is a tool built by people
to the shape of the senses we’ve got
time is how we navigate
how we negotiate and how we plot
imagine there’s no past and no future
it’s easy if you try
it’s even easier to achieve
all you got to do is die
time and space together
make a reality we think we comprehend
consciousness of paradise
is how time and space reach their end
imagine there’s no beginning
imagine there’s no end
imagination is consciousness
imagination is how we ascend

One Love

|

One Love
one love
believe it
her scent
slash of sunlight through wooden blinds
brilliant bars splash blue afternoon walls
outside trade winds sigh
overhead a ceiling fan turns lazily
this perfect moment
that goes on and on and on
forever
surrender
one love
believe it
I believe that looking into the eyes of love
looking into your eyes
time and space cease to exist
nothing matters
is all that matters
until even we cease to exist
in each other
one love believe it
in your eyes cerulean depths
unnamable azure waters
I see us at fifteen and sixteen
was that yesterday or tomorrow?
transcendental
elemental
essential
one love
believe it
truth may be subjective
news might be fake
I believe beauty exists for its own sake
symmetry, sequence, chaos - all of it -
everything inspires love
everything is love
love is supreme consciousness
sometimes called god
believe it
almost out of hearing waves break
children giggle quietly
cats purr with contentment
the taste of ambrosia is on our lips
incense in the air gossamer curtains stir
skin silken touch
elemental fluid
vanquished by your eyes again and again
and again
one love believe it

Hidden Variables

Hidden Variables
ones and zeros
that’s all it is
fifty fifty chance that’s all it is
bio pixels
on a ten dimensional grid
ones and zeros that’s all it is
living in a world of mathematics
free will is so much semantics
another name is quantum mechanics
pi and phi define reality
all matter is synthetic
the universe is code theoretic
there is something faster than the speed of light
the speed of thought
the speed of thought exceeds time
ones and zeros that’s all it is
fifty fifty chance that’s all it is
energy is transformation
we are data’s transportation
procreation
dissemination
hidden variables
never going to know
maybe a two dimensional world we travel
from here to there by the straightest line possible
no zero,
no infinity
just a line with higher consciousness
given an illusion of three dimensions
and awareness of what a fourth dimension could be
infinite possibility
hidden variables
never going to know
possibility is how the universe rolls
fifty fifty chance that’s how it goes
fifty fifty chance
not bad odds
proportionally the same as the existence of god

No Body

No Body
this body
strange face in my mirror
has become unrecognizable to me
broken vehicle of countless joyous rides
I am no body no more
nothing special
I lived through that
you killed Jimi Hendrix because he got fat
“also ran”, “has been”
faces that say that they knew me back when
these bodies
that remind us what it is to be god
with every climax
and love pleasure so well
also teach us the lessons that suffering brings
I am no body no more
this body . . .

Paradise Bound

Paradise Bound
ROB: Muses! Poets! Virgil, Dante, Milton I humble myself at your lotus feet. Help me! I know the words have been written, yet how could words begin to describe my situation: without the apparatus of motion I was somehow in motion; without senses I was somehow sensate. I was everywhere and nowhere at once. I was every age that I had ever been and part of all history that had come before me.
I was aware of every imaginable future.
I was part of a directionless exhilaration of energy.
Yet for me — clumsy, uncoordinated — it was more like being battered by the chaos of a breached dam. Awash in the tumult, flounder- ing, I felt a panicked need for air as if too long under water. I gasped blindly into a small haven of calm away from the clamor of souls. When suddenly I was confronted:
SAM: “Who are you and what do you want here?”
ROB: “I’m lost, confused. I can’t understand movement without my body.
Can you help me?”
SAM: “Why would you want to go any further? Beyond here is the final end.
The second to last of our punishments was the loss of our bodies. But ahead is the final end — the loss of our identity — our very selves! Beyond yonder passage is the hive, is the loss of everything — subjugation. It is Hell!”
ROB: “Perhaps the loss of our fragile bodies was a reward. Spirit, this path leads to Paradise!”
SAM: “Leads to Paradise? Are you mad!? Have you not read the sign above the final gate?? ‘Abandon all self ye who enter here’! Abandon all self!! I should think that the very loss of your identity would represent a punishment to you. Does your individuality mean so little to you that you can throw it away that easily?”
ROB: “But Spirit, what about these souls that surround us? Look! They are intoxicated with rapture!’”
SAM: “Fools all. They know not what awaits them.”
ROB: “‘How can you be so bitter? You are in Heaven.’”
SAM: “I am not in Heaven. There is no Heaven for such as me. I was
a bad person. I have sinned. Cheated. Lied. Raised evil children! Tormented my slaves! Whipped them! I have killed!. The things I have done deserve punishment!”
ROB: “I believe we must be past punishment. Our pasts themselves have been punishment enough.”
SAM:“I never believed in Hell. I never believed in Heaven. God means nothing to me. I must be in Hell.”
ROB: “Look at us — we are adrift in a sea of ecstasy and joy. If we can only find our bearings, this must be our path.”
SAM: “Then you go forth. I will stay here.”
ROB: “But Uncle, we can help one another to the final glory. Consider what awaits us! Consider the end!’”
SAM: “Consider the end!” (laughs). “Avise la fin. The motto of my family.” ROB: “What?! The motto of my family!”
SAM: “No! Have you finally come? My seed! Blood of my blood! This is
everything that I had hoped for: an escape! An escape!”
ROB: “Uncle, you confound me.”
SAM: “Uncle? I am not thy uncle! I am thy root! Father of your grandfathers. The first of our clan born outside Caledonia. I, who settled the Dead and I, who now paddle desperately against the relentlessness of their current.”
ROB: “But Father — if father you are — why be so fearful? You were a preacher, a man of God.”
SAM: “There is no God. I was a liar. A hypocrite. And it is only just that I should be in Hell.”
ROB: “‘Father, you are not in Hell. You must feel joy’s abundance and see the reflection of all goodness around us.’
And he said,”
SAM: “That is only here to torment me.”
ROB: I recognized the guilt and shame in him that had held me back for
much of a lifetime. Is there no escape from the punishment we visit on ourselves? Can we never escape our torment? In him I saw all my own fears, my own weaknesses.
“Join me, Father.”
I found growing in myself a strength much greater than my own. A strength I had never known before. A strength of past and future generations combined.
“Father when we let go of our bodies we let go of space and time. Now let us abandon guilt, abandon fear. Let us abandon self and em- brace pure consciousness. Join me! Let us go forward together!”

All Love
05:17
|
|||
All Love
there is no feeling of “I”, “me”, or “mine”
beyond relativity or machination
the mind is disconnected from thought
there is no perception nor inclination to perceive
everything manifests as sound and color
the essence of things as they are
the true light of reality —
Recognize It
recognize the natural radiance of your own mind
recognition and liberation are simultaneous
all love is
luminous void
without center or circumference
shimmering like a mirage
terrifying brightness
clear, colorless
no near or far
without form
free of limitation
pure bliss
unaware of sorrow
all time is present
all things are possible
undividable emptiness
endless state of absolute peace that nothing can disturb
love is infinite
choice and change
love is knowledge and charity
hope, courage
love is eternal
all love is

New Gita

New Gita
I am a spirit that lives in every creature
I’m the beginning, the lifespan and the end
I’m the radiant sun among the light givers
of the stars at night, I’m the moon
I’m the big man
the king of heaven
of sense organs I’m the mind
I am consciousness in the living
I’m bigger than Trump
lord of the riches
I am Everest among mountain peaks
Yogananda, leader of the high priests
Sadam the warrior chief
I am the Pacific among ocean waters
Edgar Cayce, the great seer
among words I am the sacred syllable “OM”
Himalaya among things that cannot be moved
I am the holy tree
the godly sage
Jimi Hendrix, celestial musician
among horses you might know me as Citation
among elephants — Ganesh- the granddaddy of them all
of weapons, call me the H-bomb
Boo and Mojo, the heavenly cats
I am the love god
Kundalini, the holy serpent
I am death
who distributes the fruit of all action
I am a giant
among those who measure, I am time
I’m the lion among beasts
eagle among birds
among purifiers, I am the wind
shark among fish
mighty Mississip among rivers
the beginning, middle and end of all creation
in the alphabet I am “A” time without end
I am the sustainer
my face is everywhere
I am death that snatches all
these are a fraction of my powers
these are a fraction of my powers
